Marco Verratti has sensationally claimed he was twice told to ‘f**k off’ by the referee during Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League semi-final defeat to Manchester City.
Speaking after PSG’s 4-1 aggregate defeat, the Italian midfielder said: ‘The referee told me, “F**k you” twice.
‘If we say that, we get banned for ten matches. I talk a lot to the referee but I don’t say that.’
PSG star and former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera added: ‘The referee told [Leandro] Paredes to f**k off. It’s incredible. If we say that we get a three or four match ban.’
