After what felt like years of waiting, Rihanna fans finally got their hands on some new music – sort of.

PartyNextDoor dropped his new album, PartyMobile, on us on Friday, including a surprise collaboration with RiRi in the form of Believe It.

Taking to Instagram, the Work singer blessed us all with the news, telling fans: ‘Believe it!! @partynextdoor album live!!! https://ri-hanna.io/believeit’.

Right on cue, she began trending on Twitter like an absolute queen.

The 32-year-old can be heard alongside her pal, singing: ‘Best make me believe it, best make me believe it. Believe you won’t deceive me.’

Side note: It is a total bop…

And, while it’s not the elusive R9 album or her own single, we’ll take what we can get at this point…

However, fans were a little divided over the drop, begging for more than just a few words from their idol.

Flocking to Twitter, one fumed: ‘Rihanna really made me wait three years for the background vocals?!?!’

‘When we finally get CRUMBS from Rihanna and she’s just repeating the same damn 5 words on “Believe It” with Partynextdoor,’ another said.

While a follower celebrated: ‘Rihanna trending #1 in the us and #2 worldwide for repeating 5 words for the entire song is just a power that some girls can never reach.’

‘THE WAY RIHANNA IS #1 TRENDING WW WITH A FEATURE TRACK AND IS LITERALLY SINGING 5 WORDS NOW IMAGINE WHEN SHE DROPS HER OWN MUSIC,’ a Twitter user screamed.

And a fan asked the question on all our minds: ‘These background vocals cute for his song baby but where’s YOUR lead single & album?’

Rihanna’s loyal fanbase have been not-so-patiently waiting for the Diamonds singer to spill her ninth album ever since the day after Anti was released in 2016.

She has been teasing us all with snippets of when we’ll finally get a listen – sharing a snap of herself in the studio with the Neptunes on Valentine’s Day.

However, Believe It is the only thing we’ve heard her sing on recently – as she continues to focus on building up her Fenty Beauty and lingerie lines.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she admitted that she enjoys winding us all up over her mysterious music.

When asked about the album, she joked: ‘To be continued… I like to antagonise my fans a little bit.

‘Well, they antagonise me too! So they get it right back.’

Your move, RiRi…
